Kumaon is the Eastern division of Uttaranchal. Covering almost 1/3rds of the total area of Uttaranchal, it provides a major pull for nature enthusiasts as well as devotees alike. One can experience nature in it's virgin glory as well have enough opportunities for trekking, hiking, skiing, rafting, and of course, a Sashtang to the Gods. There are a number of glaciers in Kumaon to provide good trekking to trekkers.
