Jispa, 30 km from Keylong, is one of the best places for camping on the MLH. There is one grassy patch; surrounded by trees, and separated from the river by the road; which makes an excellent camping site. A campfire in the night, having dinner with the thundering sound of the rapidly flowing water of Bhaga in the night, and having hot tea early in the morning by the riverside, all make fond memories. If one doesn't want to camp, one can stay at Hotel Ibex, which provides good rooms, overlooking the river. Rafting can also be arranged. The scenic beauty of this place is also good. There are some potato farms as well. The adjoining photos are taken from a place called Gemur, which comes before Jispa.

5 km after Jispa is Dharcha, the last permanently inhabited village on Himachal side of MLH. Now for a distance of almost 254 km, there will not be any signs of life. The first village on Ladakh side of MLH is Rumtse.
